Big Youth is a DJ who made some dope shit in the 70s. From my perusal of his catalog, a lot of the songs don’t really follow any traditional format and when ol boy comes on the track he basically just chants and does bugged out shit. Augustus Pablo… Obviously by looking at the cover, he pioneered the ‘looking hella lost on my cover’ technique that seems pretty popular amongst local rappers. That’s a pretty hyphy chillum contraption he’s rocking on there as well. He played the melodica, which is kinda like flute with a keyboard built into it, and he was the first person to use it as a legitimate instrument in commercial recordings. That sounds like something someone who smokes hella stress would do.

It’d be possible to go on with facts, figures, details, and mathematical calculations about their music I’m stealing off wikipedia as we speak and shit for quite some time. But just know this is that gritty Reggae shit that I had to google for 15 minutes straight to find a long time ago.
